Two good days and one bummer.

If you follow this blog, you know I have met a very nice lady. Her daughter works with my daughter in law, Ali. They were talking one day and said "hey", exchanged their parents phone numbers and that is how I met Mary. This is the bummer day. We had planned a dinner and a movie for tonight. This morning Mary called and said she broke a tooth at the gum line and might not be able to make dinner. I had planned a very romantic dinner at my place. "Sweet salsa fish" (halibut fresh off the boat) on a bed of rice. Mary had surgery on her tooth couldn't eat anything hot and the bad part was no alcohol. I made GAZPACHO and it was excellent. Mary took the left overs and the recipe.
Mary came for dinner anyway and fed the ducks at my door. This is the first time I have seen ducks in the park. They always stay on the lake.
They sure liked the stale bread.

The first good day was the trip into Mexico. The second good day started at Juliana's Patio Café. Those of you that have been here know what a fine restaurant it is.

The Parrots were very noisy today. However these are file photos as my camera refused to read the card. We were really pumped for lunch had planned it for two days. A shared Reuben sandwich with a salad. No Corned beef so no Reuben. Shared a great Prime Rib sandwich and salad. This is the fist time Mary and been to Juliana's and very impressed. Then we took a bus (van) to Phoenix to the ball game.

If you look close you can see a Diamond Back slithering around the field.

The evil Manny.

The mascot

The running in place hot dogs. Can't figure what that was all about.

The field of play. Our seats were just inside the right field foul pole in the second level fourth row. This was the free food section. Free hot dogs, chips, and soft drinks. $70. That included the bus from Yuma.

This is Mary, the ultimate fan. She sings and dances, claps her hands (or leg) if she is eating

Two fans with their rally hats on. It didn't help Diamond Backs lost big time.

Looks like you had a great time, I hope Mary is feeling better. I know just how she feels!
