The Flag is put up for the games.
The Doves were released. We didn't have any doves as they were eaten by the towns people. So we used balloons.
The Olympic Flame arrives.
The torch is lit by the Olympic King
We even had a fly over on the opening day. He didn't fly over on closing day as he wasn't real sober by then.
There were so many contestants there were few spectators.
All athletes need to scratch. Note Gavin is from Scotland and is training very hard with a beer.
This is the "winning" put a hole in one and the only one in the contest.
WE also have the always popular "raw egg" toss.
No synchronized swimming for us. We throw a volly ball into rings in the pool. Backward.
Shuffle board has to be in every Senior Olympics
To make it a little more interesting the contestants were blind folded.
Even Olympians have to eat. Gloria and three other ladies made over one hundred sandwiches and gallons of potato soup to feed the athletes.
This is horse shoe toss. Plastic shoes and pins.
This contest is a timed team event they must transport a bag of water and fill a gallon Milk jug. This was a two mimed event as the tide was coming in. When they waded to the sand spit the water wasn't,t ankle deep when it was over they waded back in knee deep water. The photographer stayed on the shore side to take the photos.
