Trip to Puerto Penasco

We and a small group decided to go to Puerto Penasco for "lunch" about 80 miles forty or so is paved. Four miles of sand and the rest washboard dirt and gravel. The paved road is very well done not at all like we had been told. When they get it done it will a very nice drive.

Small sand dunes along the road.

The beginning of four miles of deep loose sand. The Suzuki never missed a beat. Only one rig got stuck as he forgot to put it in four wheel drive.

Salt flats at he end of the sand road.

This is the "Caravan" gathering for the return to El Golfo. It was a very short day as we didn't get to town until 11 AM and had to be ready to leave by 3 PM.

A longer view of the shopping area in down town. We are directly over the fish and shrimp markets.

View from the terrace in Puerto Penasco. This is where we eat and then shopped after eating.

This is the "Cyotee Pizza Parlor" Their spelling, not mine.

This is our Super Mercado" in El Golfo we use this store most of the time. There are seven of these stores in town.

Be sure to look at the Olympics.
