LAZY DAY

We had planed on doing the Tram on this day but twenty mile an hour + winds made us put that on hold. Instead we went to the "White Water Preserve". www.wildlandsConservancy.org This is my second visit. It a really cool place to visit. Pools full of large Rainbow trout in clear cold water.

They have a lot of picnic tables on a flat area with lots of shade trees.

This is the largest pond with the largest trout.

This is the second pond. There are three ponds that are connected, sot the fish could move around if they wanted to. There hiking trails but the sign saying "watch out for rattle snakes made Mary say "I pass" Also they said look out for "Mountain Lion" Some of the trails lead into a wilderness area.

GETTING IT DONE / CROPS / ON THE ROAD AGAIN

When we got to Mary's home in Oct. The first thing we were going to do was paint the garden shed to match the house.

And we did! The week before we left in April. She had the paint left over from the house, but we are very busy. Note the "large" pile of fire wood. It took two days. Half of one day in the PM and half the next AM.

This isn't a photo of Mary's Cacti so much as the thermometer registering 115 the day I painted in the PM.

This is the last of the tomatoes for this year on this plant. It was frozen, tipped over by the wind but just kept producing fruit. We got about 40 tomatoes from it. Plus what our neighbor got.

Last year our grapefruit tree had two fruit on it. This year it has about 40 or so fruit left after it started aborting them. It had hundreds a week ago.

Look familiar. No you are not at rvgoddess.com Terry was kind enough to let us use her site at the Motor Home Country Club while we are in Indio CA. for "Stage Coach" country music festival. It is a two day event and only about a mile from here.

Road Runner --- Hoover Dam

We went to Las Vegas after leaving the Grand Canyon. Took no photos as it was to dark or to crowded. We went to the Lion King and it was a great show. Also while we were there we were visited by my youngest Grandson and his girl friend. We left Vegas and traveled;ed to Earp CA. to visit friends Howard and Edna Lee.
We also visited the "Road Runner" a floating bar and grail on the Colorado river. They have good food and lots of atmosphere.
This is Mary, Edna and Howard on the back of the barge after dinner.
Mary being greeted by the Road Runner and his friend.
Plaque on the new bridge over the Colorado river just below Hoover dam
The new bridge. This was built to keep terrorist from getting explosives near the dam. It also sped op traffic as the road on the dam is narrow and crooked with steep approaches.

Turbines inside the power House. The power house on the AZ. side of the river. A very interesting place to visit.

Grand Canyon - Base Ball more wedding

Entrance to the Grand Canyon Park. We only had three days here.
This was and every evening thing. A small herd of elk came into the camp ground. One night some guy with a full sized Poodle "that never leaves his yard" didn't need to be tied up. This guy must have a big yard because his dog ran the whole herd out of the park.
Once again I got photos out of sequence. This is the ceiling of the tower in the following photos.
This is the wall on the third floor. They are refurbishing this monument. It is very old and they have glued monitors over the cracks in the wall to see if they are growing.
This is the second floor painting. None of the information plaques are in place at this time.
This tower is at the "Desert View"
I got these right. WE took a flight over the Grand Canyon in a Twin Otter an air craft I have a lot of faith in. Having flown on them many times in Alaska.
The views from t he air are spectacular. You get a real sense of just how large the canyon is.
This is a shot of the North rim. That side of the park isn't open yet.
More of the islands in the canyon
The Colorado River running clear and green in the bottom of the canyon.
End of the day for Mary on her first trip to the Grand Canyon.
A truly grand sunset over the Grand canyon
Long shadows for the end of the day.

Mary at the Mariners stadium. You can't see the Rockies shirt she has under her Mariners jersey.

Ichero takes a swing at the ball.
Tis guy is a vendor from Colorado. Very famous. He gives you his card and if you need a beer you call him. He borrowed my knife to cut holes in his hat decorations.
My new life!
Mary with two of my sons.
and her daughters.
Not a bad looking leg for a lady that is pushing 66. No more wedding photos.
