Yesterday was mostly doing nothing. Went to Parker to get some groceries at Safeway. Quartzite has some stores but limited choices and (we are the only store for 30 miles) prices. After returning home went to the "Palo Verdi" café for the best Taco Salad in AZ. We have been stopping there for salad for the last ten years. (one of these days I will remember to take my new fantastic camera). After lunch I made the obligatory trip to the "Main Event" a group of plastic tarp shops. Some are real buildings, all are full of junk. I did score on a Tony Bennett CD for $5 and a gift for the beautiful Lisa and Carla . Something they have lusted for. There is one shop here that has every thing you might need for an RV. Parts that is. New and used. New dash boards instruments, stoves, refrigerators. micro wave and convection ovens and did I mention mirrors. The latter are all used.In Jan. Quartzite is a "Happening" place there is an FMCA rally and the "Big show" a gathering of RV sales and all kids of vendors for RV stuff. Thousands of RV'rs are here parked in the desert. There are still a lot of rigs in the desert "boon docking" no hook ups there is a pump out service for your holding tanks and they will deliver water to your rig. The cost for long term parking is now $100 for the year. For me Boon docking is what you do when Hunting and fishing. Not a life style for me.
