Finished a four year project.

We installed an RO (reverse osmosis) water system on our coach when we bought it in 05. You have to monitor it so it doesn't over flow. That meant getting up in the middle of the night to turn it off. Today I finished installing an automatic shut off system. When the tank is full the pump and water are turned off and when the water level drops to 50% it comes back on and fills the tank. I also was able to take some photos of the AZ. Market Place for your viewing pleasure. In the morning I am going to visit the Dermatologist that Steve for found me.

The photos are of some of the shops in the AMP knick knacks, and a Hairier Jet over head and a fruit stand.

Trouble with my new camera.

I went to the Arizona Market yesterday and took many pictures for your viewing pleasure. Pictures of the many booths with tools, trinkets, and fresh produce of all kinds with ridiculous low prices. However my new camera ate them. When I tried to download them they weren't there. Will work on that. I did buy a system to make my osmosis system automatic. Comes on when the tanks is half empty (fifty gal.) and goes off when it is full. No more "hell the water is on and will over fill" in the middle of the night. Will finish installing it tomorrow.
To night I entertained two dear friends Howard and Edna Lee we met in El Golfo several years ago. Most of my kids know and like them. Fixed the "perfect steak", baked potatoes and Brussels Sprouts. Edna furnished a nice green salad. Two buck Chuck Merlot was the wine. Everything was good. Potatoes were done as were the Brussels sprouts and steaks were perfect and every thing was done at the same time. I do have an old photo of my guest that was taken in El Golfo. Will work with the camera so I can post photos.

Dinners

Night before last I had dinner with Nova Ann and Larry at Terry and Dave's favorite Mexican restaurant in Yuma - Chretien's. I did take a photo with my new camera, but I can't open it. The food was excellent. Much better than the last time we were there. Last night I ate in. Clam fettuccine. One of my favorites. Tonight I was invited to dinner by the President of the "singles club" at the club house. They were serving fish and chips. The food was good. But the "best looking women" in the park were a disappointment. I have had my last dinner with the singles club. I will work on getting the camera to work for me.

Nova Ann had Howard and Edna Lee, Rick and Joann and me out for dinner. Steak and Shrimp, hot potato salad and they eat asparagus. Avery fine dinner and company. Would have a longer post but forgot to take pictures. Sorry.

From Pahrump, NV. to Earp, CA.

Yes it is named after the great Wyatt Earp. There is a post office and........ Stayed at Emerald Cove RV Resort. Another parking lot in the CRA system. This Park however is on the Colorado River. Nice beaches and a boat ramp. Two swimming pools and two hot tubs. This park is busy year around.

Stopped at Lake Havasu to visit friends we met in the CRA family. Bob and Rosalie Jorgensen. They live in CA. Bob was playing golf so didn't get to see him. Jim and Jeanie Sherwood. The Sherwood's are from VA. They travel West and stay three years site-seeing and then East for three years. I told them I would arrive about noon so Jeanie made me a sandwich that was very tasty after a long morning drive. I got there at 12:30 PM PST - it was 1:30 local time - forgot about time zones. We had a nice visit and I continued on to Emerald Cove. Here I met with Richard and Phylis Miller. We missed them last year as Phylis was fighting cancer at home in Canada. She is doing great, looks great. The drive was much better than the drive to Pahrump. Colorful rocks and some vegetation, getting through Las Vegas was a snap as I got there about 9:30 AM missing the rush hour traffic and took 315 around main part of town to Henderson and 95 South. Passed Laughlin NV, as I don't gamble and it isn't football season. I like to watch Monday Night Foot Ball at one of he casinos. They have contest and give prizes. I never win but it is a lot of fun.

I drove to Yuma Lakes Saturday morning in the rain. Got almost every thing set up before joining my sister Nova Ann and her husband Larry for dinner at their RV. My brother Richard and his wife joined us for drinks as they had eaten earlier. Listening to Frank on the XM until 10:pm local news comes on. Good night

From Reno to Pahrump NV.

Traveled over good roads to Pahrump (water from rock in native language) a very long and boring drive. Had to stop and take a nap (a first for me). Nothing to see but rock and very little sage brush. It might have better if I hadn't been over that road twenty times. Today will travel to Lake Havasu and try to see friends there then on to Emerald Cove RV Resort - one of the parking lots that we have a membership in.

This is the Park in Reno. Just to the left of the rig you can see the top of Harrahs Casino.

A NEW BEGINNING

On February fourth 2010 I lost my dearest friend and companion. Two days before our fifty sixth wedding anniversary and two weeks before the fifty seventh anniversary of the day we met. I am starting on a long (I hope) trip traveling as we had planned for our retirement.

First day my youngest son and I traveled to Reno NV. Where he will catch the train and return to his family in Parker CO. After staying with me for a month and helping care for his mother and I. He did all the paper work dealing with Hospice and the funeral home. I can't thank him and his family enough for their sacrifice and help in my time of need. All of our kids were a great source of strength for me.

I can't recommend Reno. It has really gone down hill. The casinos are run down and the streets are dirty.

I will try to post more often as I will have lots of free time. Going to head for Yuma tomorrow. with stops in Pharump NV., Lake Havasue NV., and Earp CA. to see friends.
